Our weekly plan gives students consistent opportunities to practice independence, communication, safety awareness, social skills, emotional regulation, and everyday decision-making in real community settings.
Weekly Community-Based Activities
Each day focuses on a different real-world experience so students can practice life skills in a structured, supportive, and meaningful way.
🛍️ Mall Mondays
Students practice mall navigation, safety awareness, following directions, public etiquette, and appropriate social interaction.

🎬 Movie Ticket Tuesday
Every other Tuesday, students practice movie theater skills such as purchasing tickets, waiting in line, ordering snacks, and theater etiquette.

🛒 Grocery Store Wednesday
Students practice shopping skills, identifying items, budgeting basics, needs versus wants, checkout communication, and safety.

🚌 Transit Thursday
Students learn transportation safety, route awareness, pedestrian safety, reading signs, asking for help, and safe movement in public.

💦 Fun Friday
Fridays may include pool, splash pad, or park experiences focused on recreation safety, social play, peer connection, and group participation.

Saturday & Sunday Individual Support
Weekend Personal Individual Care is available for students with more sensitive, critical, or higher-support needs. This option is designed for families who need more personalized attention, slower pacing, closer supervision, additional structure, and individualized life skills support.
- Designed for students who may need 1-on-1 or very small group support
- May include personal care routines, behavior support, emotional regulation, and life skills coaching
- Helpful for students who need more sensitive support before joining group activities
- This service costs more because it requires more individual attention, planning, and support
- Approval requires a meet & greet, intake packet, and support needs review
Transportation Notice
Lewis Life Skills Academy does not provide transportation at this time. Families are responsible for drop-off and pick-up at designated public meeting locations and activity sites.
