Built From Experience. Led With Purpose.
Lewis Life Skills Academy was created to help students grow beyond the classroom through structured life skills support, community-based instruction, behavior guidance, and real-world learning experiences.
Why We Started Lewis Life Skills Academy
We created this academy because many children, teens, and young adults need more than classroom instruction. They need guided practice in real-life settings, patient support, clear expectations, and opportunities to build confidence in the community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world independence by helping students build confidence, communication, emotional regulation, social skills, safety awareness, and practical life skills through structured community-based experiences.
Meet Our Leadership
Lewis Life Skills Academy is family-led and built on years of hands-on experience in special education, behavior support, life skills classrooms, community-based instruction, residential care, and daily living support.
Program Founder & Life Skills Coach
Our founder brings over 20 years of hands-on experience supporting individuals with behavioral, developmental, and mental health needs. Her background includes working in life skills classrooms as a paraprofessional for over five years, along with experience in group homes, overnight residential care, adult workshops, and high-support environments.
She has supported individuals with daily routines, social development, emotional regulation, behavior support, independence-building skills, and community participation in both educational and residential settings.
She is also the creator of autism behavior, routine, and adult transition planners and guides available on Amazon, designed to help families build structure, consistency, and confidence in everyday life.
Special Education & Behavior Support
Lewis Life Skills Academy is supported by a certified special education teacher with over 15 years of education experience specializing in behavior intervention and community-based instruction.
His experience includes supporting students with behavioral challenges, individualized learning needs, emotional regulation, structured classroom support, and real-world skill development.
His background helps guide the structure, educational purpose, safety expectations, and supportive environment behind every Lewis Life Skills Academy experience.
What Makes Us Different
Real-World Practice
Students practice important skills in actual community environments, not just on paper or in conversation.
Behavior Support
We understand the importance of structure, patience, transitions, emotional regulation, and positive support.
Family Partnership
Families begin with a meet & greet so we can understand goals, needs, expectations, and fit before enrollment.
Our Core Values
Safety
Every experience is built around clear expectations, structured support, and family communication.
Confidence
We help students grow through practice, encouragement, repetition, and real-world success moments.
Independence
Our goal is to help students gain practical skills they can carry into school, home, work, and community life.
Start With a Meet & Greet
Every family begins with a conversation so we can learn about your student’s strengths, support needs, goals, and next steps.
